People move in and out of states every year. But where are people coming and going from? Can you guess where Idaho ranks?
Different Van Line moving companies do their own stats and keep track of where people are moving to and from each year. We've taken the numbers from three of these companies and compiled a Top 5 Inbound and Outbound states. Here's what we've come up with.
The Pacific Northwest is a hot spot for people to move to! With the balanced weather and a variety of landscapes offered, these states make for an attractive place to live!
Top 5 Inbound States:
- Idaho
- Oregon
- North Carolina
- Washington
- Washington D.C.
How D.C. got there, I don't know. Other than that, that's a lovely list of places to live!
Now, there are also the states that folks just can't seem to wait to move away from. The common denominator in these states are they are all on the East Coast.
Top 5 Outbound States
- Illinois
- Connecticut
- New York
- West Virginia
- New Jersey
The big surprise that most readers may have is that California is not on the list. While many people are leaving California, a nearly equal amount are moving there!
